A special business event has pledged to meet the 'alternative finance' challenge head on - and ABF portal funding partners have been offered a place at a discount rate.

The BCR business finance conference will focus on how factors, invoice discounters and commercial finance providers can "re-examine business models to confront the current explosion of new working capital financing options and technologies available, especially from the online platforms".

One of the subjects up for discussion will be the funding needs of SMEs and how can alternative funding bridge that gap?

The event has attracted heads of receivables finance, factoring and invoice discounting and asset finance, as well as product development managers, client relationship managers, heads of trade and working capital, credit and risk advisers, brokers, consultants and "Altfin" platforms.

Our funding partners will have a strong presence, with speakers including Perry Burns, Managing Director of Working Capital Partners, Martine Catton, Sales

Director of Catalyst Invoice Finance and Caroline Langron, Managing Director of Platform Black.

The Transforming Factoring & Invoice Finance event takes place on Tuesday, November 17 at Reed Smith in Primrose Street, London.
